Birds possess unique personalities, and while many traits can be taught, certain behaviors are instinctual and inherent to each species. In your home, you may notice that some birds are loud, others are territorial, and some are excellent talkers, though they may choose not to vocalize in spite of their skill. Below, we will explore the common characteristics of the various bird types we do or have worked with and how these traits influence their behavior. Please keep in mind every bird is different, but the traits listed below are commonly seen behaviors for the individual species overall, thus making the bird you get more prone to these mannerisms and traits.
